Walk-In Policy - We make every effort to make it easy for current patients to see a provider when they are ill. Like most practices we work by appointment for routine exams and follow-up. However, if you are ill or injured on a given day, then simply contact our Front Desk and let them know the issue and when it is convenient for you to come into the office. If you are sick today, we will see you today.
Good Friday - We will be closed on Good Friday (April 10) so that our staff can spend time with their families.
Lori Moore, CPC - Last October, Lori sat for the CPC exam. We congratulate Lori upon receipt of her Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credentials from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). While not widely known outside of healthcare administrative circles, this designation represents a major career achievement. We are proud to have her as a member of our team.
Second Decade - 2020 marks the beginning of our second decade of service to McMinnville and the surrounding communities. Dr. Harlow opened Cumberland Adult Medicine in June of 2009 to serve the primary care needs of patients in the region. The practice has since outgrown its original space twice, added two additional medical providers, and currently employees a team of 11 nurses and support staff busy caring for hundreds of families who live in the area.
Currently Accepting New Patients All three of our providers are currently accepting New Patients; our Front Desk staff will be happy to schedule your first appointment .
Breast Cancer Awareness - October was Breast Cancer Awareness month, but the message remains the same year round. Early detection and treatment are key to a positive outcome. Be sure to schedule your mammogram today should you be overdue.
Flu Shots are recommended for everyone 6 months of age and older (with very few exceptions). Groups at risk for flu related complications include those over 65, those who are diabetic, those with compromised immune systems, pregnant women, and those with impaired lung function. Due to overwhelming demand this year our vaccine stock is exhausted. However, most pharmacies we checked with continue to have the vaccine in stock. Schedule your flu shot today!
Medical Mission - Amanda Rust, our senior Medical Assistant, and Lisa Wilder, FNP, joined Dr. Susan Harlow last June as community partners in the annual Medical Mission at Home event organized by St. Thomas Health. Medical Mission provides free care to uninsured and under insured individuals in need of medical, dental, and other health services. We are proud to recognize Amanda and Lisa for giving up a Saturday to be of service to the community.
After Hours We understand that illness often strikes at the most inconvenient time - after normal business hours, over the weekend, or during a holiday. One of our providers is always on call. They can be reached by calling our After Hours telephone number - (931) 304-1777. If you experience an urgent medical problem after hours, don't hesitate to contact us. Not sure whether you need to go the Emergency Room, then give us a call.
As always, for life threatening medical emergencies call 9-1-1 and seek immediate assistance.
No Insurance? No Problem. Many of our patients are not covered by an insurance plan - they simply pay cash at the time of service. The practice welcomes self-pay patients. Contact our Accounts Manager, Lori Moore, should you have questions.
We will post pictures related to the practice and the community in this space.
